Accommodation is available in Sarakiniko, Agios Ioannis, Korfos, Karave and Kastri. Vacations on Gavdos are all about individual tourism. There is a small selection of accommodation and rooms available all over the island. The apartments are usually run by local families and are often built in the old traditional style, e.g. a stone house with its own terrace or balcony. You should not expect great luxury, but rather a feeling of genuine Greek hospitality. In the following list you will find a selection of different accommodations on Gavdos. Most apartments can be booked from April to the end of October, but some can also be booked all year round. In summer, there is a high demand for the few rooms available. You should therefore make your booking in good time. During the low season, the booking process can also be more spontaneous - then you will always find a room on Gavdos. Only a few accommodations can be booked directly online. Many can only be booked and contacted via their own website or by telephone. #1: Kiki Gavdos (Sarakiniko)

Large selection of beautiful rooms in traditional island style, directly on Sarakiniko Beach in a fantastic location, just a few meters from the water. The fine sand is right on the doorstep. Surrounded by many great tavernas. The hotel's own mini market is right next door, where fresh baked goods are prepared daily. There are rooms of different sizes - for individuals, couples, small families and large groups. All rooms are equipped with a fridge and fan - but without a cooking unit. The resort is run by a local family over several generations with a long island history. From grandfather to granddaughter, everyone pitches in and helps out. The mini-market building was the first house to be built on Sarakiniko beach. Kiki Gavdos is usually open between May and the end of September.







#2: Consolas Gavdos Studio (Sarakiniko)

Simple but beautiful apartments with balcony, terrace and wonderful sea view. You can see the entire beach and the bay of Sarakiniko. In the morning you can see the sun rising over the sea. Refrigerator, small cooking facilities and air conditioning are available. Sarakiniko beach and a selection of tavernas and mini markets are just a few minutes away. There is a transportation service from the very friendly owner to various places on the island and to the port. The complex is open all year round!

#3: Four Brothers Rooms (Sarakiniko)


The Four Brothers Rooms

Opened in 2024. Newly renovated rooms (2 rooms in total) in the building directly next to the Four Brothers taverna on the beach of Sarakiniko. While sleeping you can listen to the sound of the waves in complete peace. The "Kedros Gavdos" was previously located in the same building. When you open the door, you have an unobstructed view of the water - the apartments are built directly on the sand. The rooms are equipped with two simple beds and a fridge. The in-house Four Brothers taverna serves fresh food every day - from breakfast to dinner. Fresh pastries are also baked daily. There are also other tavernas in the vicinity and two mini markets just a few meters away. The rooms can currently only be booked by telephone. The complex is run by a local family who have lived on Gavdos for many generations and live on the island all year round. At Four Brothers, you can get in close contact with the locals and immerse yourself in life on Gavdos.

#4: Exoristoi (Sarakiniko)



Opened in 2023, the new and modern suites are located on a hillside with a great view of Sarakiniko beach. The "Nature Suites" take a more luxurious approach for the island. Equipped with comfortable single or double beds. Each suite has its own terrace with seating and a great view of the sea. In the morning, you can watch the sunrise over the bay of Sarakiniko. Right next to the suites is a friendly cafe with beautiful outdoor facilities. The beach is about 5 minutes' walk away. The rooms can be booked online via the hotel's own website. Open from the end of April to the end of September.





#5: Sofia Rooms (Agios Ioannis)

Sofia Rooms are modern apartments with balcony and sea view. The complex is located slightly above the parking lot in front of Agios Ioannis. All rooms have Wi-Fi, air conditioning and a fridge. The in-house taverna offers excellent quality food from morning to night. In the summer months, the taverna is usually not as crowded as the other two tavernas in Agios Ioannis. The dream beach of Agios Ioannis is about a 10-minute walk away. There is a mini market in the immediate vicinity. Sofias is open from the end of April to the end of September. #6: Metochi Apartments (close to Korfos Beach)

The Metochi ("fields") complex is located in a quiet and secluded, beautiful area on a hill. The land, the apartments and the restaurant belong to a family that has lived on the island for many generations and is deeply rooted in Gavdos. The rooms are simple but inviting and have a terrace, with the option of booking a sea view. All rooms are equipped with WLAN, air conditioning and a fridge. Room service is provided daily. The beautiful Korfos beach is about 20 minutes' walk away. As Metochi is very remote, transfer assistance is available, including pick-up and drop-off from and to the ferry. If you come by car, parking is very easy. The in-house taverna offers very good food and drinks at any time of day. In the evening you can dine in a romantic atmosphere with the best views. Open from April to September.





#7: Gavdos Panorama Rooms (Korfos)

Gavdos Panorama is a complex with a lot of charm. The family comes from the island. From grandfather to grandson, everyone helps to keep the rooms and the hotel's own fish taverna in tip-top condition. Even their own fish is taken directly from the island's waters to land freshly caught on your plate. Gavdos Panorama offers a total of 6 rooms. Some are newly built. Balcony and terrace are available. Sea view too. The apartments can be booked in different sizes. There is room for everyone from couples to families. Wi-Fi, fridge and air conditioning are included. There is also a small kitchenette. A shuttle service is offered to pick you up for the ferry - as well as to take you back to the ferry. As buses run to Korfos several times a day in summer, you can benefit from good bus connections. There are no mini-markets nearby. The complex can be booked via its own website. Panorama is open from May to September.





#8 Princess Hotel (Kastri)


Gavdos Princess

A well-maintained and extremely inviting complex in the heart of the island - right at the entrance to the charming main town of Kastri. You can book new and modern apartments in stone houses in the traditional island style - with their own terrace and kitchenette. The small "hotel" has a taverna that is open all year round and serves good, local cuisine in a romantic atmosphere. There is also a shuttle service to the harbor and various sights on the island. The Princess Hotel is open all year round. Especially in winter, you can often sit around the campfire with the local islanders. A very special experience!
