#3 Gavdos Ferry Tickets Prices

Tickets for the ferry to Gavdos can be purchased at the Anendyk ticket counters in Paleochora and Chora Sfakion. Small travel agencies in Paleochora and Chora Sfakion also offer tickets for sale. During the high season you can also get a ticket in Sougia and Agia Roumeli (ticket office). Tickets cannot be purchased on the boat - this is only possible in winter. There is plenty of space on the boat, so there is no need to make a reservation for the crossing. A reservation is only necessary for vehicles! The prices for the tickets can be found in the table below:

#4 Taking a Car or Motorbike on the Gavdos Ferry

For campers and motorists, the ferry offers enough space to take the vehicle, even large campers or trucks. Except on Greek holidays or special occasions, the ferry can be very full and a reservation for your own vehicle is essential, as well as during peak season. During the peak season, it is sometimes necessary to book one to two weeks in advance to get a place on the ferry. The rule here is "first come, first served". Please note that there is no gas station on Gavdos. The tank should therefore be filled up beforehand. There is a petrol station in Chora Sfakion, which is open all year round, as well as in Paleochora.

#5 General Information about the Gavdos Ferry

There are often strong winds on the sea passage between Crete and Gavdos - especially during the winter season. It can therefore often happen that the ferry cannot start. From a wind force of 6 Beaufort, the ferry cannot be given permission to start. This applies both close to the coast on Crete and further out on the Libyan Sea. You should therefore always check a few weather apps in advance. The final decision as to whether the ferry will go or not is usually made in the morning shortly before departure (approx. 1 hour). Decisions are announced via the Anendyk website (https://anendyk.gr/) or on the Anendyk social media channels (Instagram and Facebook) via the story functions.

Enjoy your trip to Gavdos :)
